French Poitiers to screen Iran's ‘She Who Wasn’t Tamed’

The Poitiers Film Festival in France is to host Iranian short ‘She Who Wasn’t Tamed’.

The Poitiers Film Festival in France has been set to host Iranian short film ‘She Who Wasn’t Tamed’.

Directed by Saleh Kashefi, the short fiction will be in competition at the International Short Films section of the French event.

A brief synopsis for the film reads, “Hanieh is a high school student who tries her best to win the poem recitation competition to make her teacher and family happy”.

The short has already attended some film events, including the 16th Nahal International Student Short Film Festival in Iran. The same festival awarded the film stars Paniz Esmaeeli and Anita Baqeri the Best Actress award and granted its Best Director award to the film helmer Kashefi.

The Poitiers Film Festival accommodates young talents in the arena of filmmaking and gives the professionals the chance to meet and share expertise.

The 42nd edition of the event is slated for November 29-December 6, 2019.
